One clear voice and improved visibility for a complex division
The challenge
A large technical division was operating in one of the enterprise's most complex capability environments, shaped by major transformation, growing demands for collaboration across government and industry, and the need to align expertise across many disciplines. Its communications had grown organically and reactively, with ownership and approaches differing team to team. Over time that inconsistency had started to dilute the division's identity and impact its visibility with senior leaders, its workforce and its industry partners.
What we delivered
We led an evidence-based, co-design approach. We engaged the division's key stakeholders, reviewed the service offer, identified the pain points, then ran structured co-design sessions and written consultation with senior leaders, capturing over 100 stakeholder inputs in a transparent feedback register. From that feedback we designed a light-touch communications and engagement system built on a “do once, use many” principle, and turned it into a three-pillar action plan and two-year roadmap sized to the division's actual resourcing.
The outcome
A complete, ready-to-implement strategy, action plan and roadmap, backed by a governance model, an engagement toolkit and a living feedback register. The division now has one coherent operating rhythm with clear ownership, a consistent look and feel, and a cadence that keeps leaders visible across the enterprise and connected to their workforce, built to scale as capacity grows.
